Child-Psychologists have identified 3 distinct parenting styles. They have also linked parents’ approach to discipline to the long-term impact on children’s social behavior and inner being.
These three styles are:
1. Authoritarian – where the adult is the enforcer.
2. Permissive or Indulgent – where the adult enables children.
3. Authoritative or Cooperative – where the adult empowers children and teaches responsibility through choices and problem-solving.
